HIMSS14: HL7 International Launches Conformance Testing Program at HIMSS14
Health Level Seven®(HL7®) International will officially launch a new Conformance Testing Program for HL7 standards Feb. 25. A round table briefing about the program that features HL7 leadership and program partners is set for 12:20-1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the HL7 booth (#1265 in Hall A) at the HIMSS14 Conference in Orlando, Fla. The briefing is open to members of the media and conference attendees.

HIMSS18: Seema Verma - Making the patient the center of our health care system
I’ve always been struck by how seldom the patient is mentioned in discussions around value-based care. Let me be clear, we will not achieve value-based care until we put the patient at the center of our healthcare system. Until patients can make their own decisions based on quality and value health care costs will continue to grow at an unsustainable rate. This administration is dedicated to putting patients first, to be empowered consumers of health care that have the information they need to be engaged and active decision-makers in their care. Through this empowerment, there will be a competitive advantage for providers that deliver coordinated, quality care, at the best value, to attract patients who are shopping for value.

HL7 FHIR Foundation Collaborates with Google Cloud Platform to Support FHIR Community

ICE is a service-oriented, standards-based immunization forecasting software system that evaluates a patient's immunization history and generates the appropriate immunization recommendations. ICE can be used in Immunization Information Systems (IIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), Health Information Exchanges (HIEs), and Personal Health Record (PHR) Systems. HLN Consulting is thrilled to announce that the Immunization Calculation Engine (ICE) project has been chosen by the Digital Public Goods Alliance (DPGA) as an innovative openly licensed technology and listed in their Digital Public Goods registry. Technologies included in the list are considered to be digital public goods in alignment with the Digital Public Goods Standard.
