Press Release | Rancho Biosciences | February 23, 2016

San Diego, California (PRWEB) February 23, 2016--Rancho BioSciences are very proud to receive several prestigious awards from the tranSMART Foundation for their services to the foundation. The awards included MVP Award as the 3C Co-Chair of the Content committee for Julie Bryant and tranSMART Superstar training awards for Tatiana Khasanova, Oksana Tyurina, John Obenauer and Viktoria Andreeva.

Rancho BioSciences, a Platinum Sponsor of the tranSMART Foundation’s 2015 Annual Meeting, works with the Foundation to provide free on line training every last Monday of the month covering all aspects of tranSMART from preparing data, using ETL loaders, choosing cohorts and running analyses and workflows.

Julie Bryant, through Rancho BioSciences, a Silver tranSMART Foundation member, also donates her time to serve as co-chair of the content committee with a goal to bring tranSMART ready data sets to the community. They are readily available on the Foundation web site and wiki. These include Pfizer MAGIC GWAS data sets and GEO data sets.

“We like to train many of our scientists on how to curate for tranSMART and work with our ETL engineers for loading of the data. Once they have the data in tranSMART they can start choosing cohorts and running analysis”, said Julie Bryant, CEO, Rancho BioSciences. “We are also working very hard to bring more tranSMART ready content to the community free of charge. We have a lot of groups volunteering data sets that the foundation will test and make available via the foundation web site and wiki.”
