Grants For Innovative Projects To Promote Open Access To Data

The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) has announced a Challenge Grant program funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.  Through the program, ICPSR will fund innovative projects to promote open access to data, support research transparency, improve data citation, and more generally build good practice in data management and stewardship.  Possible topics include but are not limited to training researchers in data management, editorial workflows that integrate data management and access, and research on data replication practices.  ICPSR expects to award three to five grants of up to $20,000 each.  Proposals are due April 15, 2013.  You can read more about the program at: http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/files/datamanagement/sloan-challenge-2013.pdf.
