It's Official: White House CTO Todd Park Leaves Post To Recruit Tech Talent From Silicon Valley

Todd Park is leaving his job as the second-ever federal chief technology officer to assume new duties -- including recruiting tech talent for government -- from California, the White House confirmed Thursday.  From his new job as a Silicon Valley-based technology adviser to the president, Park will continue to look for ways to improve federal technology and keep policymakers current about technological developments, a White House blog post said.

President Barack Obama thanked Park for serving as the federal CTO, commending his work to establish the Presidential Innovation Fellows program and to fix the troubled HealthCare.gov website. “Todd has been, and will continue to be, a key member of my administration,” Obama said.  The White House post attributed Park's move to his family’s desire to return to California after living in Washington far longer than planned...
