Karen DeSalvo And Malcolm Gladwell To Speak At HCI-DC 2014

The new National Coordinator for Health IT, Dr. Karen DeSalvo and author Malcolm Gladwell have been named keynote speakers for HCI-DC 2014: Igniting an Interoperable Health Care System. The event will be held in Washington, D.C on February 6.

HCI-DC 2014 will host patient advocators, government agencies, hospital leaders, and industry expects to discuss interoperability in the future of healthcare. The event is co-hosted by the Gary and Mary West Health Institute and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. The event is free, but attendees must register.

DeSalvo is the former health commissioner for the City of New Orleans and the new National Coordinator for Health IT.
