OMG® and Health Level Seven® International (HL7), along with Open Health Tools and the Business Ecology® Initiative, today announced that a Modeling Tutorial track has been added to the fourth annual SOA in Healthcare conference: "SOA Road-map to Integration: Architecting Interoperability in Healthcare." The conference will be held July 13-15, 2011 at the Hyatt Dulles, in Herndon, VA. Registration and program details may be found online at http://www.omg.org/hc-pr.

The modeling tutorial track on day two of the conference provides training on Unified Modeling Language™ (UML®), Business Process Model & Notation (BPMN™), Unified Profile for DoDAF and MODAF (UPDM), Systems Modeling Language (SysML™), and Service Oriented Architecture Modeling Language (SoaML™). Presenters are from No Magic, Inc., Atego, and Model Driven Solutions.

"Successful enterprise architectures take into account the needs of all the stakeholders across the enterprise, and focus on many different viewpoints. There are a number of models and modeling techniques that can be used to articulate these stakeholder views of the enterprise architecture," said Robert Lario, CEO, Visumpoint; and program chair, SOA in Healthcare Conference. "We added this modeling tutorial track to help business people gain a better understanding of open modeling standards that may be used to capture and communicate an enterprise architecture in a clear and repeatable manner."
