Jembi collaborates with Safe Blood for Africa & CDC towards supporting an Open Source Blood Service Management tool (V2V)

Cape Town, 6 June 2013 – Jembi is excited to announce a promising collaboration with Safe Blood for Africa and CDC towards the objectives of expanding the knowledge pool and ability to support an existing Open Source Blood Service Management tool (V2V). Jembi has undertaken the task gaining the project history and tool design from Georgia Tech’s Computing for Good program (original developers) towards the end goal of continued support of the tool by a local African NGO.

Daniel Futerman (Jembi Senior Developer) has recently returned from a trip to Georgia Tech in Atlanta, USA, as part of the V2V project.  The purpose of the trip was to work with the existing developer of the Vein to Vein (V2V) system to do a hand-over of the code from the Georgia Institute of Technology to Jembi.

Jembi is excited to see this project grow!
