'Prospero’, New International Register of Systematic Reviews

Last week at the 2011 Cochrane Canada conference, there was an announcement of a new international registry of systematic review protocols called PROSPERO. The register is open to all researchers who are conducting systematic reviews, and--most importantly--is free.
PROSPERO is an international collaborative project but seemingly developed by NIHR’s Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD). It is the first online facility to register systematic reviews about health and social care.
