BigRoc was established in 1995 (by Eitan Rubin and Gustavo Glusman) and serves as a forum for bringing together scientists working on bioinformatics and genome research. Our meetings feature lectures and seminars on a variety of subjects, including sequence analysis, computer modeling, biological databases, protein modeling and gene expression analysis. BigRoc is sponsored by the Crown Human Genome Center, the Bioinformatics and Biological Computing Unit (BBCU) and the Israeli National Node (INN).

The regular meeting time is on Mondays at 10am in the Botnar Auditorium in the Belfer Building (campus map), but this is not a rigid arrangement.
