Lindsay Westervelt

Lindsay Westervelt is a Technical Writer and Project Support Specialist for J P Systems, Inc. At J P Systems, Ms. Westervelt leads social media content production efforts and assists with designing and developing J P Systems’ marketing materials. She also edits project deliverables and manages client onboarding tasks.

J P Systems is a Healthcare Information Technology (Health IT) consulting firm that was named one of the 50 Fastest Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies of 2020. The firm specializes in Healthcare Informatics through terminology mapping, data standardization, enterprise data architecture, and data quality improvement. J P Systems’ staff is made up of subject matter experts (SMEs) in Health Information Exchanges (HIEs), enterprise architecture, nursing, pharmacy, risk management, data quality, clinical terminologies, data standards, and interoperability. 

Ms. Westervelt holds two degrees: a B.S. in English and an M.A. in Professional Writing, and her experiences are largely in editing and writing. She has worked as an editorial intern and an editorial assistant for two different publishing companies, and she has written articles for magazines and blogs. Ms. Westervelt interned at National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), Office of Communications, where she created and redesigned marketing materials and assisted with social media. She has also tutored collegiate students and staff on grammar, writing, and communication strategies.
