Mongolian Chief Medical Officer visits the RHC-P

The Regional Health Command-Pacific (RHC-P) recently had the pleasure of having Lt. Col. Ganchimeg Lkhagvasuren, Chief Medical Officer for the Mongolian Armed Forces, visit the Oahu based RHC-P Military Health Readiness Platforms, Dec. 14-17, 2015. Lkhagvasuren’s visit continues the RHC-P's focus on medical diplomacy throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific area of responsibility; sharing medical technologies, approaches, and best practices for the betterment of health throughout the region.

During her visit to the RHC-P Headquarters, Lkhagvasuren met with RHC-P's Command Team, Brig General Patrick Sargent and Command Sgt. Maj. Robert Luciano, and she was able to ascertain RHC-P's approach to Access to Care and Army Medicine's philosophy of providing High Reliability Healthcare.

She also had the opportunity to learn about the operational aspect of managing Army Medicine's largest region and she visited RHC-P's largest Health Readiness Platform, Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), where she saw how world class healthcare is provided on a large scale, as well as how a teaching hospital develops young healthcare providers into seasoned professionals...
