CMS Announces New Meaningful Use Implementation Timeline

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), in conjunction with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) have updated the implementation timeline for the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs.

Since the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act – which included the creation of the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs – was signed into law, the nation has seen unprecedented growth in the adoption and meaningful use of electronic health records (EHRs).
