Press Release | Clinovo, Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM) Conference | August 1, 2013

Clinovo Will Be Exhibiting and Presenting Its ‘Cloud for Clinical Trials’ Paper at SCDM 2013 in Chicago, September 10-13.

Clinovo is a sponsor at the 2013 Annual Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM) conference taking place on September 10-13 in Chicago, IL. The SCDM conference is the world's largest education event for clinical data managers and clinical trial professionals. Clinovo’s team will present its latest eClinical innovations at booth #310.

Clinovo CTO, Marc Desgrousilliers, was selected by SCDM to present ‘Cloud for Clinical Trials.’ “The Cloud has become a pervasive technology in the high-tech industry and is starting to permeate into e-Clinical Systems. The paper presents the principles of cloud based applications and the various technologies used to implement them”, explains Marc. The paper discusses the benefits of using cloud-based services, such as EDC and Randomization, as well as exploring regulatory and other concerns.

"We are looking forward to presenting our eClinical systems at the SCDM conference," explains Ale Gicqueau, CEO at Clinovo. “We believe that cloud technology is very complimentary to our open-source model, bringing simplicity and cost-efficiency to scale”.

Clinovo is the CRO behind ClinCapture®, an intuitive and flexible Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system for clinical trials, investigator and registry studies. As an open-source system, ClinCapture has no license fees, while including advanced functions such as One Click Navigation, Randomization, and LiveReports™. ClinCapture has been distributed for three years for studies with up to 20,000 patients, and sponsor companies have secured FDA approval using ClinCapture as their preferred Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system.

Clinovo will also present the new release of CDISC® Express, its open-source SAS®-based clinical data management system that automatically converts clinical data into CDISC SDTM using an Excel framework. CDISC Express has been downloaded over 900 times since launch in 2011 by leading sponsor companies as well as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the CDISC organization (cdisc.org). This new release uses the latest SDTM specifications, additional validation checks to the system, and new domains, including the seven domains for medical device companies following the SDTM guide for medical devices.

Leslie Kolman will also be in attendance to represent Clinovo Staffing Solutions. With over 20 years of experience building relationships within the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry, Clinovo’s staffing team is well equipped to place senior level professionals seeking biotechnology roles, providing both contract and full time opportunities with the following skillsets: SAS Statistical and SAS Clinical Programming, Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics, Drug Safety, Medical Writing and Clinical Operations.
