At the Value-Based Care Summit, attendees will benefit from hearing leaders in the field of value-based care describe the landscape of value-based care, share best practices, and disclose actionable information for those working in the healthcare field. According to the Summit’s website, "Value-based care is set to replace traditional fee-for-service in the years to come, but healthcare organizations of all sizes are already engaged in patient-centered care initiatives focused on improving health outcomes and reducing costs. Early entrees into value-based care — accountable care organizations, patient-centered medical homes, etc. — have exposed the benefits and challenges of these risk-based arrangements between providers and payers."

The Value-Based Care Summit offers an opportunity to network with executives from top physician practices and hospitals and to gain insight into value-based care through sessions with speakers such as Dr. Steven Strongwater of Atrius Health, Dr. Thomas Scornavacca of UMass Memorial Population Health, Betsy Hamptom of Population Health Reliant Medical Group, and Micky Tripathi of Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative (MAeHC). The Summit will be held at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, where a block of rooms has also been reserved for the event.
