Apache products power half the Internet, manage exabytes of data, execute teraflops of operations, store billions of objects in virtually every industry, and enhance the lives of countless users and developers worldwide. ApacheCon brings developers and users together to explore key issues in building Open Source solutions "The Apache Way". With hundreds of thousands of applications deploying Apache Software Foundation products and code contributions by well over 4,500 Committers from around the world, the Apache community is recognized as among the most robust, successful, and respected in Open Source.

Powering more than 400 million Websites and countless mission-critical applications worldwide, Apache products are the go-to solutions across countless industries --from financial services to publishing to radioastronomy to social networking to biomedicine research data stores to mobile medical applications. More than a dozen Apache projects form the foundation of today's Cloud computing, and Apache software continues to play a key role in the evolution of Big Data. Five of the top 10 Open Source downloads are Apache projects: understanding their breadth and capabilities has never been more important in today's marketplace.

ApacheCon, the official conference of The Apache Software Foundation, has grown to two events, Apache: Big Data and ApacheCon North America.

ApacheCon North America will bring together the open source community to learn about and collaborate on the technologies and projects driving the future of open source, web technologies and cloud computing. Apache projects have and continue to be hugely influential in the innovation and development of software development across a plethora of categories from content, databases and servers, to big data, cloud, mobile and virtual machine. The developers, programmers, committers and users driving this innovation and utilizing these tools will meet in Vancouver, May 12 & 13, for collaboration, education and community building.

ApacheCon North America will contain tracks and mini-summits dedicated to specific Apache projects organized by their respective communities. In addition, ApacheCon North America will also host complimentary tracks, including Apache Incubator/Innovation, Future of Web, and Community, as well as hackathons, lightning talks and BarCampApache.
