Latin American Conference on Health Informatics

The health IT community in Latin America will be holding a major conference in Mexico next week. The conference, titled "The Latin-American Conference on Health Informatics" will feature a large number of sessions and workshops on health IT collaboration with an impressive line up of speakers. The conference will be held May 17-19 in Guadalajara,  a beautiful city in the state of Jalisco, Mexico.

The theme of the conference is "Health Informatics: Improving Quality of Care Through Global Collaboration". The day after the conference, the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA), one of the major participants in the conference, will be holding a board meeting.

The conference will feature an extensive set of workshops and presentations. This is a truly "international" conference on health IT collaboration. The conference has a strong participation from all Latin American and the Caribbean. At the same time there are a large number of presenters from Western and Eastern Europe, as well as Asia, Africa and the United States.

This is clearly one of the "must go to" health IT conferences in 2011.
