Clinovo Supports the Alliance for Clinical Research Excellence and Safety (ACRES)‘s global collaborative model by pledging $40 Million worth in its Electronic Data Capture (EDC) Technologies

Sunnyvale, California (PRWEB) June 09, 2015--Clinovo, a leading provider of Cloud-based eClinical software, announces a $40 Million pledge in support of the Alliance for Clinical Research Excellence and Safety (ACRES) global collaborative model, an Alliance that aims to transform the clinical research enterprise through the construction of a global system for clinical research to accelerate medicines development, while enhancing quality, safety and long-term industry sustainability.

Clinovo joins ACRES’ strategic allies group, including those the ACRES Tech Consortium which work towards gathering innovative eClinical systems together in a $100+ Million pledge to bring treatments worldwide. As a strategic ally and by joining this consortium approaching 80 Strategic Allies, Clinovo reinforces its dedication to make advanced eClinical technologies accessible to all clinical trials, regardless of size or budget.

“We believe that ACRES offers an innovative approach to help catalyze the necessary changes needed to provide long term sustainability for all stakeholders in our industry”, explains Ale Gicqueau, President & Founder at Clinovo. “As a pioneer in open source EDC, one of the changes that particularly resonates with Clinovo is to help clinical trial professionals move from paper to Electronic records while reducing their clinical trial costs.”

To date, ACRES allies have pledged more than $102M in technologies and services, including e-compliance systems for investigator sites, networking technologies to share verifiable information in real-time between sponsors, IRBs, investigator sites, government organizations and regulatory agencies as well as other tools to assess and improve safety, quality, site efficiency and sustainability.

“Economies of scale demonstrate that sharing and integrating eClinical technologies saves industry, governments and regulatory agencies time and money. Projects using this innovative business model are already underway. This decision by ACRES allies to employ already established standards and networking technology platforms also promotes industry inter-operability and sustainability while minimizing IP liabilities and unnecessary risks and financial burdens, whether it involves sponsors, regulatory agencies, investigator sites, IRB’s, governments or other industry stakeholders,” said Al O. Pacino ll, ACRES VP for Collaborative Network Development. “With a collaboratively-built, sharable system approach, we can ensure that creating efficiencies does not mean adding additional silos.”

Clinovo pledges to provide ACRES member organizations worth $40Million of the Premium version of its compliant cloud-based Electronic Data Capture (EDC), ClinCapture, built to empower clinical trial managers to create, manage and deploy their studies by themselves without any programming knowledge or professional services. Clinovo is the only EDC provider to participate in this pledge.
